Typical Monday

well, it was a typical monday....  not much happening.  we got a dusting of snow and today is supposed to be the same thing.  i can deal with the snow in small doses because the accumulation then doesn't seem like much.... not to mention the fact that as long as i can still see grass, i'm ok with it.

played for about 3 hours in my room.  here's a couple of my playing results....

decided to work on some DAD cards (not that i need them).  embossed ARGYLE right over this old stampin up paper; the stripe paper is from a magazine; the sentiment is by great impressions, and then i added some twine.  good for a masculine birthday too.

this one is supposed to look like a shirt cuff.  not sure if i pulled that off.  what do you think?  again, stampin up paper (retired); folded plain white in half, rounded one corner, added faux stitching and a big glitter brad. i'm still out on this one.

and this is your extra-added attraction.  neenah jumped up on the couch and made herself comfortable next to jade.  it was just too cute NOT to take a picture.  my 2 girls!!!

and there ya have it.  i'm off to get my taxes done this morning.  if i'm done early enough, i'll head over to the food pantry.  if not, i come home.  another exciting day in my life.

i am sooooooooooooo wanting some WASHI TAPE.  the problem i seem to be having is.... what design do i want..... stripe, polka dot, chevron? and what colors.  i can't afford too many so i need to chose carefully.  boy, is this ever a tough one for me - go figure!

hope you're nice and cozy wherever you are and i am so glad you stopped by.

TODAY'S WORDS OF WISDOM...

A man went to church one day and afterward he stopped to shake the preacher's hand. He said, 'Preacher, I'll tell you, that was a damned fine sermon. Damned good!'
The preacher said, 'Thank you sir, but I'd rather you didn't use profanity.'
The man said, 'I was so damned impressed with that sermon I put five thousand dollars in the offering plate!'

The preacher said, 'No sh**?'

my sentiments exactly - LOL

hugs and sparkles,

Wonderful cards,Stef! I do like the cuff. Very imaginative! We got up to 39 today and some of our snow melted. So hopefully yours will be disappearing soon. I'm looking for washi tape too. That will be my only purchase this week. And it's really hard to choose since there are so many designs. Jade and Neenah are so cute together! Great pic!
