Happy Monday

i actually stayed out of my craft room this weekend.  dragging my butt and this morning i slept til quater to 6!!!  holy  moly!  that's VERY late for me.  but i guess i really needed it.  i'm off to the gym for my walk so i'm posting this quickly.

even tho i didn't play over the weekend... yeah, you know... i have something to post.  would i disappoint you?  

card #1...

my coloring looks lousy on this one (in my opinion) and i chose pale yellow and green as i didn't want to distinguish between boy OR girl.  the image is by PATTIE'S CREATIONS; i embossed CHECKERED on the green and BABY on the yellow; added a ribbon and there ya go.  there's only one challenge for this one and that's PATTIE'S CREATIONS.

now this one, to me, came out gorgeous!  it's a new image from FLOPPY LATTE called A BIRD AMONG THE BRANCHES.  i colored with copics; embossed PAPER LACE on the "baja breeze"; the red swirl was in my stash and from my friend vicki (thanks vic);  personally?  i think that red just makes this pop.  oh, and it's a 5-1/2 x 5-1/2 card too!  i KNOW i'll be making alot more cards in that size from now on.  i'm just loving it.  there are no challenges for this one (boo hoo).

today's words of wisdom...  THE PERFECT LIVING WILL (feel free to use this)

If a reasonable amount of time passes and I fail to ask for at least one of the following: ______a Martini ______a Margarita ______ a Scotch and soda ____ a Bloody Mary ____ a Gin and Tonic _______ a Glass of Chardonnay ______ a Steak ______ Lobster or crab legs ______the remote control ______ a bowl of ice cream ______ the sports page ______ Chocolate or ______Sex, then it should be presumed that I won't ever get any better. When such a determination is reached, I hereby instruct my appointed person and attending physicians to pull the plug, reel in the tubes and call it a day. At this point, it is time to call the New Orleans Jazz Funeral Band to come do their thing at my funeral, and ask all of my friends to raise their glasses to toast the good times we have had.

NOTE: I also hear that in Ireland they have a Nursing Home with a Pub. The patients are happier, and they have a lot more visitors. Some of them don't even need embalming when their time comes. If anyone knows the name of this happy place PLEASE let me know!

JANUARY 30th - bubble wrap appreciation day - yeah... like i really appreciate popping those bubbles!!!!

FUN FACT:  85% of all Valentine's Day cards are purchased by women - because then we KNOW we'll get the PERFECT one!
